In this process, the grapes are crushed and the juice stays in contact with the dark red skins for a short time, allowing a small amount of red color to come through. The purpose of allowing the skin contact is not only to impart the beautiful rose color, but also to provide tannins and red fruit flavors, which enhance the wine's body and give it more structure.
